Taco Fest: Music y Más returns to San Antonio’s La Villita on Saturday, April 13, from noon – 11 p.m. in a dynamic second edition. From barbacoa to puffy, from foodie to breakfast, this unique South Texas food and music event boasts the largest gathering of tacos that arguably make San Antonio the Taco Capitol of the World with 30 plus local taco joints spilling out into the downtown streets. Participating San Antonio tacquerias will offer at least one $2 taco and will serve options ranging from street tacos, barbacoa to vegan options and everything in between along with sides and other menu items. Modelo Beer, Austin East Cider, wine, aguas frescas, and other non-alcoholic beverages will be available for purchase. Participating restaurants include Tomatillos, Chela’s Tacos, Los Cocos Mexican Restaurant & Fruteria, Mi Taquito Arandas Jalisco, Alamo Ice House, Las Carnitas, and Puro Taco, with more confirmed daily. For the second year, Taco Fest: Music y Más will host Peoples’ Choice and Judges’ Choice contests to reward the best tacos in the land. This year’s Alt-Latin music lineup features Brownout, Making Movies, Santiago Jimemez Jr., Bidi Bidi Banda, El Dusty, Piñata Protest, El Conjunto Nueva Ola, Maria del Pilar, La Misa Negra, Eddie & the Valiants, Alyson Alonzo, FEA, Los #3 Dinners and Ghost Tracks.
