Free Webinar: Best Practices from the Canadian Multicultural Market: What U.S. brandmarketers Can Learn, Feb 13, 2PM EST

The face of America is changing and multicultural consumers are quickly becoming the majority of future growth in the U.S. While multicultural marketing in the U.S. is significantly focused on the Hispanic and African-American consumers, the Chinese and South Asian populations are also booming today and US marketers need to understand the opportunities and challenges. As such, we can look to Canada for inspiration. Why Canada? Canada will be welcoming over 1 million new immigrants in the next 3 years alone. By the year 2036, Canada’s multicultural consumers will represent 34% of the population and according to Statistics Canada, other urban centers across the country can reach over 80% with South Asians and Chinese quickly becoming the “visible majority”. Where else in the world can you catch a Punjabi ice hockey game while sipping a Matcha green tea latte and relishing a plate of butter chicken poutine? Only in CANADA! Join us for an informative webinar with Canadian Multicultural Marketing veterans who will share key insights and opportunities relevant for the U.S. market, along with examples and learnings gained by marketing to the Chinese and South Asian consumers in Canada. Bobby Sahni, Partner and co-founder of Toronto-based Ethnicity Matters, and Lisa Spira, Director of Research and Product Development at Ethnic Technologies will share perspectives, perceptions and experiences from their work with various brands and categories in Canada including banking, telecommunications, automotive and CPG . During the webinar expect to see examples of what Canadian companies are doing to engage this audience, and the importance of establishing a benchmark before making an investment, with success stories from Ethnicity Matters and E-Tech from Ethnic Technologies. To RSVP or for more information, email Lisa Skriloff, MMR,

2019 Diversity & Inclusion Conference, March 25-26, Philadelphia
The 2019 Diversity & Inclusion Conference is “where diversity and inclusion intersects with academic and corporate strategies.” Hosted by The Philadelphia Convention and Visitors Bureau (PHLCVB), PHL Diversity (a business development division of PHLCVB) in partnership with Temple University School of Sport, Tourism and Hospitality Management and Lodging Media, the conference will take place on March 25th & 26th at The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Philadelphia. This is an education summit designed for CEOs, corporate leaders, chief diversity officers and government officials to exchange insights and concepts about diversity and inclusion best practices across multiple industries. It also serves as a resource for executives, organizations, administrators and academics seeking new innovative, forward-thinking diversity, equity, and inclusion approaches. The two-day agenda includes a City Mayors Roundtable; opening remarks by Justin Nelson, co-founder and president of the National LGBT Chamber of Commerce (NGLCC); and closing remarks from Wade Davis, former NFL player. Unique to the conference is the academic Think Tank focusing on educational design, barriers and disparities on university campuses.
