Join Dancing Classrooms in Honoring Cultural & Community Leaders at the 2025 Mad Hot Ball, Oct 10, NY On October 10th, at the 2025 Mad Hot Ball, Dancing Classrooms will celebrate thirty+ years of transforming lives through their culturally rich and collaborative social dance programs, and honor three outstanding contributors to social dance, the NYC cultural landscape, and the broader community: – Dr. Derrick León Washington, cultural anthropologist, curator, dancer, and human-rights advocate, and former Senior/Regional United Nations Human Rights Fellow, will be presented with the Community & Cultural Impact Award for his multi-faceted and wide-reaching work reimagining how dance and culture are preserved, celebrated, and lived. – Jean McLoughlin, Partner, Co-Head of Executive Compensation Group at Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison LLP, will receive the Humanitarian Award in recognition of her long-standing commitment to championing equity and success through mentorship, collaboration, and community service. – Mickela Mallozzi, Emmy® Award-winning host and Executive Producer of Bare Feet with Mickela Mallozzi, will be honored with the Social Dance Innovator Award for her groundbreaking work in television and media, showing the world that dance is a universal language of joy, connection, and community in an accessible and inspiring way. Attend the 23rd Annual Hispanic Television Summit and Awards, Oct 20, NY The 23rd Annual Hispanic Television Summit will be presented on Monday, October 20, 2025; from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the New York Marriott Marquis, Playwright Ballroom, 3rd floor, 1535 Broadway in New York City. The Summit is the longest running, “must-attend” annual conference for those in the business of television intended for Hispanic audiences in the U.S. and worldwide. It continues to be produced by Schramm Marketing Group. KIVI TV is this year’s presenting sponsor. Attendees include leading executives in the business of television and video for Hispanics representing: brands, advertisers, agencies, media buyers, media sales, content creators, producers, programmers, content distributors, publicists, marketers and promotions executives, data and consumer researchers, and investors, as well as broadcasters, cable TV and satellite providers, streaming platforms, connected TV and sources of digital and social media. This Summit will provide the industry with a place to meet, and conduct business while discussing key issues related to the growth and profitability of an industry dedicated to providing television and video to Hispanic viewers. The most prestigious and anticipated feature of the Summit is the presentation ceremony for the Annual Hispanic Television Awards. The awards are presented to individuals, programs or organizations in recognition of their outstanding achievement, leadership or pioneering tenacity which has directly impacted the growth and profitability of the business of Hispanic television. This year’s awards program is hosted by Fernando Paloma, the popular commentator from ESPN Deportes. Some of this year’s Award recipients include Jose Cancela, the president of Telemundo Station Group, Joe Torres, ABC-TV local news anchor, reporter and weekly show host, Sandra Girado, VP of Events & Partner Relations at NAMIC will accept the award on behalf of the organization. Historically, Schramm presented the event in association with B+C and Multichannel News magazines as part of NYC TV Week. Last year, these magazines ceased regular publication and they discontinued their affiliation with the Summit at that time.
