An account executive for our Direct Marketing work on the agency’s largest telecom account, responsible for day-to-day management of their direct marketing communication’s campaigns for 1) the African American segment and 2) overflow work for Hispanic, assuring projects are executed on strategy and on time. This includes acquisition/upgrade direct mail, emails, collateral, FSI/print, digital and other projects as needed.


• Understands the client’s business, competitors, products, and promotions
• Serves as the liaison between the client and the agency
• Leads the tactical execution of AA DM campaigns/projects to meet the strategic and business goals
• Manages the integration with all departments (creative, media, etc.) and client partners/third parties
• Supports the development and timely completion of all DM creative assets including: bi-weekly high-volume direct mail, collateral, ad pages, shared mail, print/FSIs and digital (banners, LPs, emails).
• Meets with clients in person and is in constant contact to stay on top of projects and business results
• Manages accuracy of direct mail versioning by matching to matrix with varying offers, telephone numbers, formats, codes and/or language, and helps manage press checks and content approvals
• Prepares monthly agency/client materials for meetings to discuss business conditions, strategy, reporting
• Writes/shares conference reports immediately post client or internal meetings
• Ensures all requests are properly funneled through to agency stakeholders with accuracy to completion
• Drafts creative briefs, and other documents for client approval
• Tracks client sales weekly sales and presents new ideas/opportunities to grow the client’s business
• Maintains/ updates internal and client status reports, tracks proper documentation, budgets/payments
• Creates and keeps track of DM codes, printing deadlines/instructions, and archival of creative assets


• BS/BA degree or equivalent work experience, 1-4 years in direct marketing space
• Strong listening, verbal, and written communication skills
• Attention to detail
• Must work well under pressure, prioritizing projects according to changing deadlines
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat
• Solid project management capabilities and presentation skills
• Team-oriented, self-starter who takes the initiative on tasks and can handle multiple projects at one time


Strongly Preferred – Knowledge of, and experience with telecommunications business and direct marketing
