Tourism Diversity Matters is excited to announce the inaugural Tourism Diversity Matters Diversity & Inclusion Award will be presented to the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP).The Awards Dinner, sponsored by Meet Boston, will take place on October 23, 2023, at the Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Conference in Philadelphia, PA. This year’s honoree is being recognized for its longtime mission to achieve equity, political rights, and social inclusion by advancing policies and practices that expand human and civil rights, eliminate discrimination, and accelerate the well-being, education, and economic security of Black people and all persons of color. TDM is also excited to announce conference emcee, Jennifer Rodríguez, President and CEO of the Greater Philadelphia Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (GPHCC). Rodríguez has over 20 years of experience in supporting economic development and empowerment for underrepresented groups. In addition to serving as President & CEO of GPHCC, she is also the Region 5 Representative at the US Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, with a focus on initiatives to improve economic prospects for Latinos and Hispanic-owned businesses.
