Louis Maldonado of d expósito & Partners To Be Honored by El Diario/La Prensa as “Outstanding Latino” at 12th Annual Awards Luncheon
New York, NY – October 12, 2015 – Louis Maldonado, Partner and Managing Director of d expósito & Partners, will be honored by El Diario/La Prensa with a distinguished “EL” Award at the Twelfth Annual “EL Awards” luncheon, which will take place at the Grand Havana Room in New York City on Thursday, October 22, 2015.
In the spirit of Hispanic Heritage Month, El Diario created the EL Award, a recognition that celebrates the achievements of Latino Men in the New York tri-state area making strides in the corporate, business, entertainment, sports and community arenas and their contribution to the Hispanic community. This program has successfully created a group of role models for the new generations to look up to and realize that everything is possible with dedication and hard work.
As Managing Director at d expósito & Partners, Maldonado oversees key agency accounts such as AARP and ConAgra Foods. His account leadership has helped yield several awards for the agency’s work, including a David Ogilvy Award from the Advertising Research Foundation, several Telly Awards and a Hispanic Account Planning Excelencia Award. Prior to joining d expósito, Louis worked at The Bravo Group and the Marketing Store, where he was the account director overseeing McDonald’s National Hispanic Promotions and Brand Activation Work, including the 2006 FIFA World Cup and Mexican National Team Activations.
“I am extraordinarily pleased to be honored by El Diario/La Prensa,” said Louis Maldonado, Partner and Managing Director, d expósito & Partners. “I accept this honor not only for myself, but on behalf of our clients who themselves recognize the importance of the Hispanic community, some of whom have been doing Hispanic marketing for over 30 years!”
“El Diario and the New York Hispanic community celebrate proudly and gratefully these success stories: Latinos with their dedication, their enthusiasm and their courage overcoming all obstacles. We are excited to recognize the professional excellence, leadership and heritage of this group,” said Francisco Seghezzo, CEO of ImpreMedia, the parent company of El Diario.
“Today, more than ever our Latino youth need role models. We have been defending, helping, entertaining, and informing New York’s Hispanic community for over 100 years. In that spirit, the EL Award recognizes the work of Latinos who serve our community,” said Carmen Villavicencio, Editor in Chief of El Diario.
The honorees come from different backgrounds and industries. Among this year’s recipients are Marcos Crespo, Assemblyman, NY State; Rodolfo Fuertes, Chairman of the Board of Directors, National Supermarket Association; Maximo Tolentino of NYPD and David Ramirez, MME, Manager of Multicultural Markets, AARP.
