Life Liberty and the Pursuit of Hispanics
What used to once be a unilateral, monolingual message told to “consumers” is now a multi-lateral, multilingual conversation shared with “followers,” “influencers,” and “brand ambassadors.” And as this conversation takes place on a multitude of social platforms, it’s more important than ever for a brand to have a voice that speaks with – and not just to – its audience.
This is why I decided to launch a Hispanic digital marketing agency. In 2012, I created Chispa Digital to help brands develop their voice that engaged a bilingual and bicultural Hispanic market segment. “Chispa” means spark in Spanish – and we help clients spark the conversation by merging a bilingual content strategy with community management on social media networks in order to make them relevant for the fastest growing market segment.
Our clients have included pharmaceutical companies, health insurance providers and non-profits. We’re especially proud of the work we’ve been doing with the American Heart Association. It’s been more than a year since we started working with the American Heart Association to launch Vida Saludable – its bilingual initiative aimed at encouraging Latino families to live healthier lives.
