ALMA The Most Awarded Agency Overall at the Addy Awards 2011
MIAMI, March 21, 2011– Alma was the most awarded agency in the 2011 local Addy competition, organized by AdFed Miami, winning Best of Show in the Print category and taking home the most awards of the night in both the English and Non-English categories.
Alma, with 33 statuettes in total won 4 gold, 28 silver and 1 Best of Show in 4 different categories including Television and Print with a strong performance in Interactive.
Diego Yurkievich, Senior VP Creative Director at Alma said: “The year was very productive for innovation and the talent of the whole Alma team came out to light. I am very happy with the way we are working. The variety of our awards shows that our strategy to connect creative with planning and digital as ‘Triplas’ is showing great results. The Alma teams are very solid and working really well as a whole, I have no doubt we’ll keep growing and exceeding expectations.”
The agency received recognition for five of their national clients resulting in great ads such as McDonald’s “Balance” print; which was produced by food/escape photographer Carl Warner in London and won Best of Show in the Non-English category.
“We’re very proud of the work we produced this last year on behalf of all our clients. Our performance improved over last year, as it’s shown in the fact that we won for a variety of clients, across many different platforms from TV, Print and Radio to Interactive, both in Hispanic and General Market categories. And we did it in a region that over the last few years has become far more competitive. We will continue to raise the bar, and at the end of the day produce work that not only generates results, but also stands out from the clutter. I’m extremely proud of the Alma team and so are our clients,” stated Luis Miguel Messianu, President and CCO at Alma.
Some of the awarded pieces were “Community” and “Train” (TV) as well as the Social Media work “Face of a Real Fan” for McDonald’s; the “Adopt a Band” Interactive campaign for Miami Music Festival; “Blood is Everywhere” Interactive spots for Terra; Clorox TV and Print ads “Mary Carmen”, “Bath Time” and “House” and State Farm’s TV spots “Extra Protection” and “Eyes.”
