NYU Offers Multicultural Marketing Course, April 29-30

New York University's (NYU) School of Continuing and Professional Studies will offer the multicultural marketing course, "Ethnic Marketing: How to Target the Multicultural Consumer," in an intensive two-day format on Friday, April 29th and Saturday, April 30th, from 9:00am - 5:00pm on both days. The class instructor is Lisa Skriloff, Adjunct Faculty member at NYU since 2001 and President of Multicultural Marketing Resources, Inc. GlobalWorks Uses 3D Technology To Promote Cablevision's Optimum Triple Play

All media campaign transcends cultural divides

GlobalWorks' new campaign for Cablevision's Optimum Triple Play, using 3D technology, offers high entertainment value relevant to both mainstream and Hispanic cultures while deploying strong direct response tactics.

The initiative, targeting General and Hispanic markets, is called "Optimum 3D Adventure" and encompasses a range of tactics produced in both English and Spanish languages, including: 60-second TV spots, 3D Micro-sites with online video game section, online banners, and newspaper FSIs and print ads. Imagine this: A Groupon Superbowl TV commercial opens with rich images of ancient culture and tradition... on the West Bank. We see the sun rising over a minaret, punctuated by calls for morning prayer. Cut to a quick glimpse of a famed religious site -- the Cave of the Patriarchs, perhaps? We then see a man walking towards us, wearing traditional robes and headdress, as a voice-over mentions the 'plight of the Palestinian people.' Then, the camera pulls back, and we see the man is actually walking towards a table in a stylish, richly appointed dining room, carrying a plate of chumus, tehina, eggplant salad, pita, and steaming meat skewers -- just as a (famous) diner speaks of the great Groupon he and his friends got for that Middle Eastern restaurant in Chicago.  Read more >>
