The American Advertising Federation’s (AAF) Mosaic Center for Multiculturalism implements all of the organization’s multicultural and diversity initiatives. The Mosaic Center is an established leader on multicultural marketing/advertising and inclusion issues. The Center's mission includes the development of new programs and services to recognize and develop diverse talent and promote broad and realistic portrayals of multicultural communities.

The Center’s programming is guided by it’s five Mosaic Principles:  1) We must recruit to develop an inclusive industry; 2) We must provide greater access to development and leadership opportunities; 3) We must implement fair business practices – Supplier Diversity; 4) We must recognize the diversity of talent within the industry; 5) We must encourage the industry to portray multifaceted images of multicultural communities.

Through programs like the Most Promising Multicultural Student program, Mosaic Career Fairs and AdCamps, the Mosaic Center is not only creating the next wave of multicultural leaders, but exposing them to an audience they may otherwise not have the opportunity to engage.  The Mosaic Awards recognizes those in the industry who are genuinely committed to inclusion, which is evident through their body of work they create, workforce programs and community engagement.  The Center’s Thought Leadership initiatives provides provocative panels that focus on topics relevant to today’s multicultural society.  From Depictions of African-American women in Advertising and Media to the Biases that exist within Artificial Intelligence to the Mosaic Center SmartBrief, the Center has it’s finger on the pulse of today’s inclusion conversations.

The Mosaic Center on Multiculturalism is supported by over 50 agencies, marketing, and media companies including (but, not limited to) 72andSunny, BBDO, Bloomberg, FCB, fluent360, GSD&M, Interpublic Group, Omnicom Group, Quantcast, Turner Broadcasting, Wieden + Kennedy, as well as ADCOLOR.
